Vacbeds and Vacbed Options Explained

A latex vacbed is the ultimate in total latex bondage. The possibilities for playful activities between the person inside and the person outside are almost unlimited!

But... what is it?
Remember in The Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo is frozen in Carbonite? It's a little like that, but less sinister, and a LOT more fun.

The idea of a vacbed is that a person enters a latex bag or enclosure, is provided with a way to breathe the outside air, and then a vacuum cleaner removes the air from inside the enclosure to seal the person inside. The sensation is similar to a full body latex hug, with a strong sense of bondage but very little pressure on any single part of the body. The bondage is comfortable, stretchy and you can feel contact, impact, vibration and temperature (ice/warming) through the latex.

The visual on the outside is that of a person perfectly form fitted with latex. With the application of shiner the vacbed gleams and shows off every curve of the body inside.

Why do people like this? Are they weird?
We don't think they're weird for liking it. There is no lack of interest in celebs wearing latex clothing out there (Thanks to the likes of Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, and going back a bit, Madonna) and a vacbed makes for perfect form fitting latex for any person, any size, any shape, any pose. The aesthetic to the outside observer can be beautiful and highly sexual. For the person inside, there is a sense of returning to the womb. Though a vacbed may look scary, it's actually very calming, relaxing and peaceful.

Though the vast majority of our customers use our products for bondage and sex play, others use them just as a calming relaxation tool. One researcher is using our products in conjunction with studies with autistic spectrum disorder to explore the desire of those with autism to be hugged tightly or enclosed. Another is using them for couples therapy. Many photographers and artists have explored the concepts of vacuum packing objects and people as art.

At very least, the concept of a vacbed is intriguing to most people. Since you are here, reading this, you must either like the idea, or perhaps be confused by the idea... but either way you want to know a bit more. Chances are that someone in your town not only likes the thought of a vacbed, but actually owns one.

SPECIAL: All of our Latex Vacuum Beds feature a one way valve for the vacuum connector, and our special our closure system. This allows our beds to hold the vacuum bed in a sealed state after the vacuum is turned off. This gives more play time, less noise and less overheating of your vacuum cleaner! We have developed many different styles of solving the problem of providing breathing for the person inside to suit different styles of play/sensation. These include breathing holes, breathing tubes, fitted neck gaskets to allow the head on the outside, and more.

	40" Across - Standard Lie Down Vacbed - Shop Now Our signature product is the latex vacbed. With the innovation of a totally sealing vacbed that does not leak when the vacuum is turned off, we offer a higher quality play session than most other manufacturers. Our standard size fits most people, but you can add length, and you can choose the type of breathing solution that suits your taste in bondage. From the simple breathing hole with your head fully inside the vacbed up to our fitted neck gasket that leaves your head exposed for a less claustrophobic experience.
	50" Across - Wide Lie Down Vacbed - Shop Now The same as our 40" wide vacbed but with more room to spread out. Because we add an extra panel of latex to this bed, you will see the back color of the sheeting wrap around at the edges to give you a much more dynamic looking vacbed. The seams are flat and strong, and are almost undetectable when you are inside the vacbed in terms of sensation.
	60" Across - Extra Wide Lie Down Vacbed - Shop Now Big enough for two! Now available with Multiple person breathing options! The same as our 40" wide vacbed but with LOTS more room to spread out. This bed is 50% wider than our standard model, and is really roomy! Because we add an extra full sheet of latex to this bed, you will see the back color of the sheeting wrap around at the edges quite a bit to give you a much more dynamic looking vacbed. The seams are flat and strong, and are almost undetectable when you are inside the vacbed in terms of sensation. The opening is the full width of the top to make loads of room to get inside.
	80" Across - Double Wide Lie Down Vacbed - Shop Now Big enough for EVERYONE (at once!)! Now available with Multiple person breathing options! Imagine two of our 40" wide vacbeds welded together... that makes for an enormous amount of room for you, your friends and their friends! Because we add 2 full sheet of extra latex to this bed, you will have the option to choose any 4 colors you want, to give you a super custom vacbed. The seams are flat and strong, and are almost undetectable when you are inside the vacbed in terms of sensation. The opening is not the full width of the top (because that would be pretty crazy) but is the full 40" normal width to make for lots of room to get inside)
	Vacuum Cube - Shop Now The Vac Cube is a 3d version of the vacbed that allows for access to all parts of the body, and even better you can flip and roll the person while they are suctioned inside. When rolling someone from the kneeling position to belly down, the person becomes suspended entirely by the latex and frame as they float about 6" above the bottom of the frame. You can then bounce, touch and spank the person inside. Our Vac Cube is the world's first sealing vac cube that does not require the Vacuum cleaner to be attached and running all the time... so you can enjoy the sensation of being suspended in latex without the noise of a constantly running vacuum (and without danger of the vacuum overheating)

Vacbed Breathing Options:

Breathing Type: Simple Reinforced Hole

This breathing type is our most simple and least expensive. It has the head inside the bed which holds the head securely. This is great for people who want the full enclosure and full encasement sensation, and sensory depravation play.

Features of this design: Simple and low cost. Removable tube can be added. Breathe through gags can be added by users. Sensory Depravation play. Head is bound.

Drawbacks of this design: Not as sealed as the tube design, and can apply pressure to the ears and crush the nose to some degree. Claustrophobic.

Breathing Type: Tube

This breathing type is similar to the simple hole type, but includes an attached breathing tube. The tube is welding oxygen rated hose so it is unkinkable and uncrushable. It has the head inside the bed which holds the head securely. This is great for people who want the full enclosure and full encasement sensation, and sensory depravation play.

Features of this design: Very good seal, easy to breathe. Sensory depravation play. Head is bound.

Drawbacks of this design: Can apply pressure to the ears and crush the nose to some degree. Claustrophobic.

Breathing Type: Tube with Face Relief

This breathing type is similar to the simple tube type, but includes an attached breathing tube which is attached to a half mask shaped area on the vacbed. This allows for the head to be inside, and bound, but the latex collapses around the nose instead of pulling down on the nose. This avoids the common complaint of nose compression.

The tube is welding oxygen rated hose so it is unkinkable and uncrushable. It has the head inside the bed which holds the head securely. This is great for people who want the full enclosure and full encasement sensation, and sensory depravation play.

Features of this design: Very good seal, easy to breathe. Sensory depravation play. Head is bound. No pressure on nose. Tube is removable.

Drawbacks of this design: Can apply pressure to the ears. Claustrophobic.

Breathing Type: Face Gasket

This type of breathing features a 1/2 open-face hood added to the surface of the vacbed to allow for breathing and communications.

Features of this design: Reasonable seal, easy to breathe. No pressure on nose. Less claustrophobic. Head is bound.

Drawbacks of this design: Slightly leaky seal. Can apply pressure to the ears. Sensory depravation play requires extra gear (blindfold etc).

Breathing Type: Neck Gasket

This type of breathing features a turtle neck like port that is fitted to the vacbed owner, or sized for the average person if you are going to use your vacbed for public demos. This allow for breathing and communications with the whole head outside of the vacbed.

Features of this design: Safe, VERY good seal, easy to breathe. No pressure on nose or ears. Much less claustrophobic. Head is free to look around. Head is free to apply external hoods, blindfolds.

Drawbacks of this design: Sensory depravation play requires extra gear (blindfold etc), head is unbound.

Breathing Type: Long Tube to Side

This breathing type features an attached breathing tube that runs off to the side of the vacbed. The tube is welding oxygen rated hose so it is unkinkable and uncrushable. It has the head inside the bed which holds the head securely. This is great for people who want the full enclosure and full encasement sensation, and sensory depravation play. It also allows for many unique poses within the vacbed. The person inside can choose to be on their back or front (or side) and can move to different locations within the vacbed before it is sucked down.

Features of this design: Very good seal. Sensory depravation play. Head is bound. Nose is not crushed. Lots of options for positioning for play/photography/video. Very unique.

Drawbacks of this design: Tube is ~2 feet long, so it takes a bit of effort to breathe. This style of breathing is VERY claustrophobic and is only for confident players with very attentive partners outside the vacbed to constantly monitor the safety of the person inside. Can apply pressure to the ears. Head needs to be oriented to the side (face not straight up or down)

Double Neck Gaskets:

This type of breathing features a pair of our turtle neck gaskets. This allow for breathing and communications with the whole head outside of the vacbed... for TWO PEOPLE! Great for public play spaces such as dungeons and party spaces where couples can play with supervision of a 3rd person.

Features of this design: Safe, good seal, easy to breathe. No pressure on nose or ears. Much less claustrophobic. Head is free to look around. Head is free to apply external hoods, blindfolds, and two can play!

Drawbacks of this design: Sensory depravation play requires extra gear (blindfold etc), head is unbound. Requires two people to use vacbed at one time. It is difficult to block off an unused neck gasket.

You can't have a vacbed that is functional AND does everything. It is our policy to not sell a vacbed that won't function, so you can trust us to help you find the right set of options to suit your play.

Other Options:

Penis Gasket:

This port is added to the vacbed and is custom sized to fit the customer's penis size. When sized properly it does not allow very much air leakage at all. When you order this option you will get an email from us requesting a couple of measurements to size it and locate it on your vacbed so that it fits properly.

We can figure out options for vacbeds that are intended for public play spaces so that the options will best suit a wide range of people or custom tailor options to exactly fit for one person. We've made hundreds of vacbeds, so we can help to figure out whatever configuration you want.

Benefits of this option: Access to genitals for sexual play during vacbed use. Men and women can use this option from inside and out (it inverts). We provide a clip to close this port off when not desired for use.

Drawbacks of this design: Not as sealed as a vacbed without a p-gasket but the leakage is minimal. Takes away from the ultra-smooth lines of a vacbed without extra options.

Cock and Ball Gasket:

This port is added to the vacbed and is custom sized to fit the customer like a snug cock/ball ring. The main difference between this and the penis gasket option is that it has an imbedded latex tube to give it more stiffness, which can be a very supportive and snug feel around the base of the cock and balls.

This option can be a bit more leaky than the Penis Gasket option, as there is more tendency for body hair, and the geometry of the male anatomy to provide pathways for slight air leakage. When you order this option you will get an email from us requesting a couple of measurements to size it and locate it on your vacbed so that it fits properly.

Benefits of this option: FULL Access to genitals for sexual play during vacbed use. Men can use this option from inside and out (it inverts) but it is more difficult to use with women inside the vacbed.

Drawbacks of this design: Unlike the penis gasket, this cock and ball ring is not able to be clamped closed, so it must be in use on every usage of the vacbed. It is therefore a limiting, but fun option. Not as sealed as a vacbed without a cock and ball gasket, and a little less sealed than the penis gasket but the leakage is reasonable. Takes away from the ultra-smooth lines of a vacbed without extra options.

Small Port: For electrical/Enema Play

This small port is usually located to the side of the vacbed to allow for tubes/cords for electrical or enema play to be inserted into the vacbed. By tightly crimping the small port closed around the tubing with a twist tie, you can stop leakage from this port.

The port can also be used to add a 2nd tube to the vacbed for a different breathing option.

Benefits of this option: Adds Access to the vacbed during use. Can be closed off with twist tie when not in use.

Drawbacks of this design: Not as sealed as a vacbed without a port but the leakage is minimal.

More Information:

We have been working on vacbed designs for 3 years straight and we've got a really solid design by now that's both beautiful and uber-functional.

When you order we will ask for detailed measures for any of the parts that need to fit you properly such as the neck gasket, penis gasket, etc. We'll make sure to make things work for you and your play partners.

There is a good amount of give in the latex so fitting people with slightly different body sizes is usually not a big problem. Once in a while we get a Super-Tall/Large + Super-Short/Skinny couple that want to have a vacbed work for them both and it becomes a design challenge. In that case we can suggest some changes to the options selected to make it work for everyone. However for most normal sized people the options on our vacbeds are universal and everyone can play.

The penis gasket is penis out only (balls inside the bed) as that gives a better seal for holding the suction of the bed. There is also a Cock and Balls Gasket option (C/B Gasket) that allows for a bigger opening around the genitals, but this is a bit less air tight and we recommend it only for those who want this particular type of sensation play.

The neck and penis gaskets are based on the dimensions we get from our customers but sized down to have them always be in a slightly stretched configuration when used, thus making them more air tight.

It's worth noting that the penis gasket can also be clipped closed with a binder clip or chip-clip so that you can also enjoy the vacbed experience with their genitals on the inside. The penis gasket can also be used for penetration FROM the outside of the bed to someone within... takes a bit of lining up, but anal/vaginal play is doable.

The seal on our vacbeds (with their special one way valve and closure bar) is pretty darn good when you have everything set up properly you'll have no problem getting your vacbed to be very well sealed indeed. Probably only needing a quick 10 seconds of vacuum re-suctioning every 10 minutes just to remove the little tiny bit of air leakage.
